Free Print Templates

Start your artwork on the right foundation. Each template is a print-ready PDF with the bleed, trim, and safe-area guides already in place — open it in Illustrator, InDesign, Affinity, Canva, or any app that reads PDF, drop in your design, and export. Built by SHIFT Design in Buffalo, MN.

How to use them

Setting up a print-ready file

1. Design to the red bleed edge. Any background or image that should run to the edge of the finished piece must extend all the way to the outer red line, so trimming never leaves a white sliver.

2. Keep text inside the blue safe line. Cutting has a small tolerance, so keep logos, text, and anything important at least 1/8" inside the trim — the blue guide shows where.

3. Export at 300 DPI in CMYK, hide the guides. Turn off or delete the guide layer, flatten, and export a print-ready PDF. Not sure your images are sharp enough? Check them with our image resolution checker, and confirm bleed with the bleed & safe-area calculator.

Rather hand it off? Our graphic design team sets up print-ready files every day. Just start a quote.

Campaign templates

Why the campaign templates have a disclaimer zone

Minnesota campaign material has to carry a disclaimer, and the rule was rewritten in 2026 — including a requirement that it sit in black or high-contrast text on a white background, which is in force now for mail and literature. Separate size rules (12 pt, 1 inch, or 6 inches depending on the sign) apply to signs printed on or after 1 January 2027, and signs printed before then are expressly protected. These templates mark the zone so the disclaimer is designed in from the start rather than squeezed in at the end — the remedy for getting it wrong is reprinting the whole run. Build the line with our free campaign disclaimer builder, and read the disclaimer guide for the current wording. None of this is legal advice — confirm with the Minnesota Campaign Finance Board before you approve a proof.
